Privacy policy

In short: GymSoar keeps all your data on your phone. We have no server, no account system, no analytics and no ads. Nothing you log is sent to us.
What the app stores
To coach you, GymSoar stores the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:
- Profile: name, birth date, sex, height and your training goal.
- Training: workouts, sets, loads, reps, reps in reserve, notes, routines and your coach program.
- Body and health entries you add: body weight, measurements, nutrition, readiness check-ins, pain notes and lab results.
- Progress photos you take or pick.
- App settings such as language, units and reminders.
What we collect
Nothing. GymSoar does not send your data to us or to anyone else. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking libraries, and it works without an internet connection.
Health Connect
If you choose to connect Health Connect, GymSoar asks for permission to read body weight, steps and sleep, and to write the workouts you finish. This data is used only on your device to show your weight trend, daily steps and sleep, and to pre-fill the readiness check. It is never transferred off the device, sold, or used for advertising. You can revoke these permissions at any time in Health Connect. GymSoar's use of information received from Health Connect follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Camera, photos and notifications
Progress photos are taken with your phone's camera app or picked from your gallery, and copied into GymSoar's private storage. Notifications are used only for the reminders you turn on: training days, weigh-ins, walks after meals and the weekly coach report.
Backups and files you share
GymSoar saves a daily backup file to your phone's Downloads folder and lets you export a full backup, a CSV of your workouts, a health report PDF or a problem report. These files are created only on your device. They leave it only if you choose to share them, for example by sending a health report to your doctor.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling GymSoar, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes everything the app stored. Backup files in your Downloads folder remain until you delete them.
Children
GymSoar is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
